Located east of downtown Tampa the little town of Riverview claims its name from what early settlers described as the perfect place to view the Alafia River. Riverview was founded in 1885 on the north side of the river, providing quick and efficient access to Tampa. Soon the little town grew south of the river absorbing a small coal-mining city known as Peru in 1940. Today the community spans both north and south of the river providing a quiet suburban residence and still a beautiful view of the Alafia River.

The peaceful Tampa suburb has grown to be a modern community and home to many local restaurants, cozy little shops, and community events making it the perfect hub of activity for all interests. Along with access to the Hillsborough Community College Brandon Campus, Westfield Brandon Mall, and an AMC Movie Theater residents can enjoy an evening out while pursuing their degree.

As a central location, Riverview residents have excess to many world-class entertainment options including The St. Pete Times Forum to catch a thrilling Tampa Bay Lightning game, The Florida Aquarium for a journey into the ocean’s depths, Busch Gardens a family friendly safari theme park, Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World.

With easy access to I-75, I-4, I-275, the Lee Roy Selmon Crosstown Expressway, State Road 60, and Route 301 Riverview is the perfect location for residents traveling to downtown Tampa, Clearwater Beach, Sarasota, and Orlando.
